華碩Xonar DX採用了窄板設計，可以用於HTPC機箱，提供7.1聲道的音頻輸出，晶片獨家採用華碩自行研發的AV200音效晶片，D-A數模轉換器採
用Cirrus-Logic的 CS4398和CS4362晶片，A-D模數轉換器採用Cirrus-Logic的CS5361晶片。音效卡採用了PCIE X1接口，可以相容於PCIE X1, X4,
X8, X16插槽。
華碩 Xonar DX的信噪比高達116dB，而大多數集成音效卡的性噪比只有85dB，因此華碩 Xonar DX的音質清晰度要高上許多。華碩 Xonar DX總諧
波失真+噪聲僅有0.003125%（-105dB)，而傳統板載音效卡則高達-75dB，因而在聽音樂或者玩游戲的時候很容易聽到背景噪音。華碩 Xonar DX採用
