I think I know which person you are talking about, I saw the post on other Z-560 forum. I don't know if he knows that this speaker needs to be "run-in" just like regular Hi-Fi speakers. We are not talking about the cheap multilmedia speakers anymore, and this speaker or any other high-end multimedia speakers should be treated differently than the multimedia speakers of the old days. This proofs that before we listen to anyone's complain, let's look at the facts first. Like you said, how can someone turn the volume up to 95% ???
I usually turn it to 1/4 and it is loud enough.

And he even blew out a second set doing the same thing. Some people never learn :roll:
The most I've ever turned it up is about 60% of the max volume for a DVD.(the volume marker on the control pod is about 50%)
And it rattled my room.
I really can't imagine it at 95% at 10 minutes straight.
