I am use Altec Lansing ADA880 with SB Live DE5.1, and i don't know how to use the AC-3 function.

Shouldn't this be covered in your ADA880 user's manul??
Anyway, if your speaker comes with external dolby digital decoder or a bulidin dolby digital decoder, then what you have to do is connect the digital out from live 5.1 to digital in on your ADA880, (you might have to do some setup regarding sb live 5.1 and dvd playing software)
if your ADA880 doens't has a ac-3 decoder, than you have to connect the speaker and sound card via the analog connections. and use software decode of either live 5.1 or dvd playing software.
