This is brief translation of the new iRiver 2 product release news.
The new product will be distributed from August 2001 in Korea.
+Basic features========================================
-Multi-codec CD player
iRiver is the first and only CD player that support multi-codec.
-Firmware Upgrade
iRiver is the only product supports firmware upgrade
1. Can support future music formats, e.g. AAC, MP3Pro, and so on
2. Can add/modify features
3. Can enhance CD-recognition
-Packet Write Disc
Users can use CD-RW medium like a hard drive.
+Additional feature====================================
-Enhanced audio output
Audio output is enhanced by two times from 7mW of the current machine.
-Multi-language graphic LCD
Graphic LCD supports multi-language, e.g. Korean/Korean Chinese(Kanji),
English, Japanese/Japanese Kanji.
Chinese/Chinese Kanji support is optional.
-Remote controller with multi-language Graphic LCD
New remote has multi-language graphic LCD.
Most of the features can be used with 2 handle switch and total 5 buttons
-In-unit recharge
Over-charge circuit prevents overheat or damage to the machine.
-Antishock 480 sec
Antishock is enhanced from 40sec to 120sec on AudioCDs
Antishock is enhanced from 120sec to 480sec on MP3s.
Pre-buffering scheme prevents from skipping when disk starts spinning.
-FM radio
Built-in FM radio
20 station preset
Auto memory(?)
Double Bass Boost feature gives
Can select between Stereo/Mono
-Easy Navigation
All features/menus are displayed on the LCD for easy navigation
-High-end earphone
High-end earphone is bundled, and comfortable Ax type is provided.
-Misc
Additional features will be added on iMP-100 1.30 version
.Remembers 10 CDs for faster loading.
